i wrote this quickly whilst sharing it on facebook chat, but it basically sums everything what was in my head this morning at 6:15 am ^^
out of this devo i thought about how we are all witnesses of Jesus and because we believe in God we believe in his son who "takes away the sin from the world" as jesus does ;)
and when john says that he himself did not "personally know him", by the word of God, (this is applying it to us, a.k.a the bible) we know that jesus does exist and that he indeed was "God's chosen one".so far im seeing the john verses about how we are reflected as how we are supposed to act and his mindset about God and Jesus, which we should be following
eg, humbling ourselves, acknowledging the fact that we're sinners and do not deserve God's love, and that we dont even deserve to tie Jesus' sandals, etc.

yeah, the "john verses" i think are kinda representations of how we should act. What i got out of that passage, is that we should be like John and "baptise with water"--whilst perhaps not literally baptise, to me, it means that we should spread the word about God, and then God will choose who to "baptise with the Holy Spirit".
